Construction begins on the Kurayoshi and Oita photovoltaic plants

MAETEL begins earthworks and civil works for two new photovoltaic plants in Japan. 

MAETEL continues its expansion in the Japanese market with the start of construction of two photovoltaic parks in the prefectures of Tottori and Oita, for our client SONNEDIX.

As with every project in Japan, the volume and level of complexity of the civil works are very significant: earthworks, drainage infrastructure, pond construction… 

The Kurayoshi (36.43 MW) and Oita (38.65 MW) photovoltaic plants consolidate MAETEL’s position in the Japanese market since entering it in 2014, with 8 completed projects in the operation and maintenance phase, totalling more than 400 MW of capacity.
