Cherry Lake (98 MW), gets final project approval
The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan grants the final approval of the Cherry Lake project (98 MW).
The 98 MW Cherry Lake photovoltaic plant, located in Mie Prefecture (Japan), obtained the final approval on June 24, 2019, granted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan (METI).
The construction of this solar plant began in September 2017, with MAETEL as the construction company, and it was connected to the Chubu Electric network in November 2018 and the COD started in March 2019. After comissioning, the plant has succesfully provided power and has been subject to METI monitoring and inspection to ensure that it meets all the requirements of the Japanese government.
METI had previously granted approval to the 11.5 MW Sunrise (Takahagi) and 21.5 MW Hokota photovoltaic power plants.
